With this help page, you will find explanations on how to proceed to register as a new single or couple member. This explanation is in fact the same, except for a few details, for existing members, single or couple, who wish to renew their membership for the next year, from April 1st to March 31st. It also documents the steps in the process of registering new members, or renewing the memberships of existing active members.

After selecting Yearly subscription ? from the main menu you will be taken to the first page where you can choose between single or couple membership. This page contains all the necessary details that inform you of the benefits of being a member or becoming a member, as well as the differences between the two membership plans. The following explanations are common to both plans. Once you have chosen your plan by clicking on Subscribe, you will be taken to the main membership form. The top section is reserved for existing members (Existing user? Please login) who must first login to access their pre-filled renewal form with their details as known by AFNT on the day of this login. New members can begin filling out the form directly below New User? Please register :

  • Username: whatever you like, but we recommend the first part of your existing email address (lower case only) before the "@". • Password: your choice, at least 8 characters.

  • Confirm password: the same 8 characters you just entered.

  • Please enter your First Name, then your Last Name and your Email address. All these elements are required. Your email address must be entered exactly in lower case, to the nearest character; example: "This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.". Otherwise, you will not receive any of the messages listed below.

  • If you are an adult student, you must check the Student box.

  • Title is optional.

  • Then enter all the fields from your Address to your District which can be selected by vertical drop-down. The Suburb is optional.

  • Your Mobile number is then required. Please enter this number without the leading zero, space/dot/dash, so a maximum 10 digit numbers starting with "2" in NZ.

  • You can then optionally enter your Landline number, for example starting with "3" here, and with a maximum of 10 digits without spaces, dots, dashes, etc.

  • You may use the Comment as you wish. The AFNT membership manager can also use it as an action reminder regarding your membership.

Finally, you can scroll back to the top of the form and check that:

  • Under "Payment Information", the amount is listed accordingly to your membership plan, single or couple.

  • The payment method is "Offline" which means that your membership will be registered but also waiting for your payment to be done at your bank.

  • Please select "I want to subscribe to your newsletters if you wish to receive this letter (registered).

  • Finally, click on Process Subscription to complete the registration.

What will happen then?

  1. The system will send an acknowledgement message to your email address confirming and displaying your registration. This message will also contain the payment instructions, either done online on your bank's website or to be provided at your branch for your bank to make the payment.

  2. As soon as this payment has been verified by the AFNT membership manager, your subscription will be activated and you will automatically receive by e-mail (i) a confirmation and, (ii) another message containing a link to activate your Username.

In case of difficulties, you can contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

  1. When your username is activated, you will receive another confirmation message and you will eventually be able to log in to the site and check your registration.

All this may seem complicated at first sight, but it will soon become easier to do, because it is no more complicated than filling in a form on paper. The advantage is that the system will record your details, will help you and allow you to correctly enter all the legally required data.
